In the NFL, everyone is a physically gifted athlete. Football is obviously a physical game, but understanding the game, concepts, and basic fundamentals of football separate good from great. Developing football IQ is something that can really be a difference-maker for a player on the cusp of the NFL.
The Academy coaches have decades of experience working with players to improve their football IQ. Learning how to learn makes a player invaluable to his future coaching staff. A smart player creates value for himself by putting himself in a position to have a competitive advantage utilizing the knowledge he gains at the Academy.
Each day, players work with coaches in the film room and on the whiteboard to improve their football IQ to make their game even more well-rounded. Players are graded daily by their coaches not only on their football skills but also their understanding of the game.
