Life Skills

Led by former New York Giant and Super Bowl Champion Perry Williams, the men of the Academy will be given life coaching to improve their leadership. As the Player Resources Director, Perry Williams leads the Life Education curriculum, coordinating the instruction and expert speakers who bring the real-life skills and leadership training to educate the players invited to attend the NFL Alumni Academy.

They will be taught how to facilitate strategic and difficult conversations, learn about the key elements to success, and be given assessments to help create an enduring understanding of their fellow man. These are skills that they will be using long after they've hung up the cleats, as they are completely transferable skills into all walks of life.

Even the best NFL players typically retire in their 30’s. Equipped with the skills and lessons they learn from Perry and the knowledge to properly apply the skills, the Academy players will be given the foundation for creating the life of their dreams. Williams understands that athletic prowess and accomplishments are not what defines a player, but rather it’s who they are off the field that truly matters.
